I know that this is only verified to work with Windows and Mac, but I've been using GEV2 for a while now and have had no issues running it through Wine on Linux and in LMMS. I've been wanting to install this, but I've tried putting it in all of the directories I could think of with no luck. Could anyone help? I would hate to not be able to use it, but at least I can see it as supporting a creator I really like if I can't install it.

The expansions all go in /GuyEngine V2/Expansions/
An easy way to find it is to just open the plugin, navigate to the preset browser, and then in the top right corner, click "more" and then "show preset folder" and that'll open the /GuyEngine V2/ folder I mentioned above. You should see a folder for expansions. Inside that folder, you'll place all of the subfolders that start with "000"
So GuyPalette would be installed like /GuyEngine V2/Expansions/0006 GuyPalette/
Remember that all of the "000" folders that are included must be also in the expansions folder due to the plugin's indexing system. I hope that helps! Let me know!
Thanks, I found a way to finally get it working. winefile just doesn't exist for me in the terminal so I had to download a third party file browser and do it that way because I can't find the proper directory through normal means. Now I know that I can use the other expansions too!

Is the download file missing the presets? I'm having a hard time getting this one working in GuyEngine 2, though I have Ambient Guy working without issues. I'm positive that I'm doing something wrong, but I can't tell what lol
Have you update GuyEngine to the latest version? The problem you're describing is usually associated with using an older version.
Try downloading the latest version (1.2.1) and see if that fixes it!

Always wanted something that sounds just like games but without necessarily ripping them for a slightly original sound.
BTW, I want to beg for an update. The DS and GBA inspired sounds are quite low quality, Im assuming based on how those consoles sounded, but can you offer clean higher quality versions instead so we can decide if to filter them or not?
Or maybe add alt clean versions, though that might drive up file size and count. Unless theres already a Hz. control in Guy Engine V2 that I havent seen! Thank you.
I love this idea! Unfortunately those samples were pre-made to sound like that old-school low bit/sample rate vibe. They were made long before GuyEngine was conceived, but I included them so that folks would have a bigger library to choose from.
A lot of those sounds are recreated in GuyPalette, and more of them are coming. GuyPalette is going to get more content over time, so you will hear higher quality versions of those sounds.
